Zmysłostan opened in Wilda last Friday and it quickly became apparent that the name, which is a combination of polish words senses and wellbeing, is hitting the spot big time.
If you know me, even just a little, you know I'm a big fan of aesthetically pleasing, simple spaces, natural scents and handmade ceramics, so Zmysłostan was definitely a must-visit for me from the very moment I found out they'll be opening in town. The interior was designed by timberYard furniture, there are Justyna Cegła's photographs on the walls and the carefully curated bouquets are from Korzenie studio based in Poznań. The very feminine and subtle brand identity is a project made by Iga Kucharska.
I think the first thing that strikes you when you enter the store is that even though it's filled with scents of all kind - candles, incense, pillow mists etc., the air is not heavy at all. The aura is very relaxing so even though it was on scorching hot days like that, you can have a breather for a second and cool off. When I came there I also got to chat with Daria - the lovely owner and Natalia from Naturostan and although we talked only for a couple minutes, I've already got to learn a bit about essential oils and how they influence our body and mind - for example peppermint is a very nice natural cooler and oils based on citruses give us an energy boost. I'm already looking forward to their workshops to get to know even more.
Apart from oils and fragrances you can also buy here teas, notebooks and ceramics, so there's really a lot to discover! I'm truly so glad there's another lovely spot like this in Poznań and will be more than happy to come back there on regular basis.

W zeszły piątek na Wildzie otworzył się Zmysłostan, czyli - jak głosi ich konto na Instagramie - sklep dla zmysłów i dla dobrostanu i powiem Wam szczerze, że trudno o bardziej trafny opis. Miejsce już od progu kusi prostym ale cudownie zaprojektowanym wnętrzem, za którego realizację odpowiada timberYard furniture, wśród dekoracji znalazły się fotografie Justyny Cegły i bukiety ze studia Korzenie, a identyfikację wizualną zaprojektowała Iga Kucharska.
Myślę, że jedną z pierwszych rzeczy, które zwracają uwagę od wejścia jest to, że mimo, że sklep jest wypełniony najróżniejszymi świecami, kadzidełkami i mgiełkami, zapach wewnątrz jest bardzo subtelny i nie przytłacza. Atmosfera sprzyja relaksowi i nawet w takie upalne dni jak piątek, w środku panują idealne warunki żeby odetchnąć i chwilę odpocząć.
Przychodząc tutaj miałam też okazję porozmawiać z Darią - właścicielką i Natalią z Naturostanu o właściwościach olejków eterycznych - i tak na przykład miętowy nas ochłodzi, cytrusy dodadzą energii, niektóre olejki pomogą zredukować stres, a inne okażą się zbawienne przy walce z migreną. W Zmysłostanie mają być niedługo organizowane warsztaty, więc jeżeli jesteście zainteresowani tematyką wpływu zapachów na ciało i umysł to bądźcie czujni!
