Today I wanted to do a slightly different post to what I normally do (or maybe not that different actually? I don’t really know haha) and show you the lovely pieces I managed to find while roaming the local second-hand with my friend. We intended to go on a causal bike ride (obv staying as safe as possible) and ended up carrying a huge sack of vintage goods all the way back home, but oh my, was it worth it.
For the longest time I have been trying to get hold of a long oversized trench coat, but for some reason couldn’t find the one. Well, at least not until the day of our thrifting adventures, when I saw it and immediately knew that this is exactly what I need - it’s such a timeless, quality piece and I’d like to thank the person who decided to give it away from the bottom of my heart because otherwise I would still be hopelessly hunting. Then we obviously went to check the knitwear section (where I got these two super soft beige sweaters - one plain and one striped) and after a quarter or two we decided to head to the checkout (it was Saturday so they were closing earlier and we almost forgot) and there it was - the PERFECT, sleek blackish baguette bag, tucked inbetween other accessories and yes, I wanted to get one like this so badly but again, couldn’t find the right one and I couldn’t believe how lucky I was at that moment. For these four items I paid roughly 26 zl (which is less than 6€, imagine) and if that is not phenomenal I don’t know what is.

And that's it! I know this is a rather long post, but I hope it was at least somewhat interesting - I figured that since it was such a random, yet joyful day, I may as well document it here and ofc show you the clothes. Also if you have never been vintage shopping you totally have to try it, you’d be surprised how many amazing pieces you can find almost for free sometimes! Good for the wallet and for the environment which makes for a truly win-win situation 🤍

This looks so beautiful!
ReplyDeleteI can imagine how happy you were after founding those amazing pieces.
I need to start the vinatge shopping, it was always difficult for me to find what I needed because I wasn't very patient but why not to give it a try? :D
Sending virtual hugs to you!
I know it can be quite overwhelming, but when you have specific pieces of clothing in mind it’s way easier and you can find so many beautiful gems. Good luck!
