Hello friends!!
It's been quite a long time since I did my last interior post on the blog, so it's high time to catch up, especially since this kind of content is one of my favourites to read and write about. Last week I felt such a desperate need to change something in my bedroom because a) I had the exact same setup for over a year now (which, believe me or not, is quite a long time for me) b) it's summer, so I feel like it's the perfect moment to give my room some refreshment.
It was a chill Monday afternoon when I found myself looking around my bedroom thinking how to change things up - the room is quite small, so creating a functional space can be challenging and I'm pretty positive that I have already worked with every arrangement possible. And yet, I managed to come up with one more idea and got down to work asap. I moved the furniture, sat down on my bed and then I realised that something was missing. So I started to think - what can I add to the space to make it even cosier? I obvioulsy didn't want to buy anything big (again, hello petit space), just some homeware touches to bring life to my place and make me even happier to spend time there.
The next day, we decided to go on a quick trip to IKEA to get all the necessities - I ended up buying a floor mirror, a new rack for my clothes (the old one broke the day before), a rug and THE CUTEST little plant . Then we got takeaway dinner, headed back home and spent the afternoon putting everything up. Here's the final (ish) outcome!

not yet ready to show you the mirror in full length because of the mess that I still have to sort out, but stay tuned! |

everyone, meet Lucien - my new plant roomie whose hobby is soaking up the sun and drinking lots of water |
And that's it - nothing too over the top, just a refreshed space. Like I mentioned, I still have to tidy up some bits but for the most part it's all done! I really like how it all turned out and it feels like a whole new place to be honest, I definitely recommend such simple refurb-sessions when you have some time to spare and want to spice things up a bit :)
love,
Daria
Refreshing a bedroom is like a therapy - while you change the furnitures or just the arragement it's like giving "the new life" to your space and also it refreshes your mind.
ReplyDeleteMaybe I should also think about mine? Well, now I know what I'll do for the next couple days!
