stripping it down

 Hello!

For my whole adult life, I would always pick simplicity over anything else - simple palettes, simple outfits, simple interiors, simple coffee, you name it. In an ice cream parlour with a 100 of flavours, I would be the person to pick regular vanilla. Does that make me plain? For some for sure. Do I care? Couldn’t less.

Anyway.

2022 made me fall into this plain lane (pun intended) even more. I don’t know if it’s the slight but inevitable change of day schedule due to work, or some kind of a january laziness, but one of the things I've noticed lately is the less things I put on my face in the morning, the better I feel during the day and the less annoyed I am in the evening when I have to wash them all off. At this point, the only products I use are the following: a cleanser, hydrating cream, concealer for unwanted spots, transparent brow gel and lip balm and the only thing I do is make coffee and turn on the radio. Not only did this save me some precious minutes of sleep, but also made me feel really calm and safe in a way. Exactly what I need when I start the day.

Maybe it's a way of dealing with all the things in life that cannot be simplified that easily?
