baby steps towards better health

With this new season came a weird need to sort things out a bit health-wise (I mean... not exactly weird, but unexpected let's say). A couple of weeks ago I found myself in this terribly anxious state, and at some point I naturally started to gravitate towards activities that would help restore the desirable calm. Today I wanted to talk through these activities (and other little things) which I've been finding beneficial lately - hopefully they turn out somewhat helpful for you as well:)

Swimming

I got back to it not so long a I love how you are in your very own headspace when you swim; the movements are soft and repetitive so you start to become really aware of your breath + for me this time at the pool is when I leave everything else in the world outside and it's easier for me to harness the thoughts that are going on in your head.

Going for walks

The case is pretty similar to swimming actually, now that autumn is at it's finest all I need is music, something to drink and I can walk until I won't feel my feet anymore. Again, movement, your own headspace (trying to embrace it, not avoid it!) and a chance to explore your surroundings.

From the inside

I'm probably the last person to give advice in this field because my daily dietary habits are far from perfect, but there are some minor changes that helped me feel a bit better, mostly physically - cutting  off diary, taking the right supplements and also introducing intermittent fasting, which, for those of you who struggle with getting into it, gets way easier after a couple of days.

Okay I hope you enjoyed this post, even though it's been quite a rambling one. Have a super lovely day and I'll be back in a week ♥
