Although my birthday was a good couple of days ago, I still really wanted to write this post to cherish my personal New Year's once again and have a little ramble/reflection time on the blog.
See, normally I never make that big of a deal when it comes to bdays and celebrating it, but this year felt different for some reason and I definitely looked forward to turning 21. Almost as if I knew deep in my guts (or at least hoped!) that this next year is going to be somewhat special. When you know, you just know and you have to go with it.
To make things clear - I'm not having sky high expectations, I'm definitely not trying to turn my life upside down and I don't expect a whole revolution to happen all of a sudden. It's the opposite actually - I'd love to slow down a bit while still work hard and focus on what feels genuinely good.
There are no promises and no resolutions, just some general ideas of what I would absolutely love this year to be full of. Here are some of them (prepare for 110% of cheesy content):
going on bike rides. travelling far and near. educating myself. reading books. drinking amazing coffee. improving the content I create. saving up some money. refreshing my space. loving with my whole heart. eating tons of veggies. spending quality time offline. painting. having deep conversations. staying healthy. going to gigs. sleepovers. being courageous. trying new things.
Like I said, I know it all sounds like such a terrible cliche, but I would be a liar if I said these things don't make me the happiest. I genuinely strive for this simple way of living and documenting it.
Here's to another year!
D.
