When the alarm went off ridiculously early on a Tuesday morning, we were still both far too sleepy to function, but what we had planned for the day was definitely worth waking up those couple of hours earlier.

We came up with the idea to go on a one-day trip to the seaside on Monday evening - we agreed on what destination we want to pick, composed a general itinerary, booked train tickets and anticipated the morning that was about to come with great excitement.
Having so little time in a city, especially such a beautiful one, makes you obviously want to make the most of every minute, and although we lacked time to do every single thing, I think we can both say that going back home we were more than content with how the day went by. Without further ado, here’s what I manage to capture on my photo roll when in Gdansk. Make sure you get to the end of the post for some recommendations and enjoy!

Places we visited and loved:
- Drukarnia Café (for their pink smoothie and the loveliest staff)
- Old Town (for charming tenements and canal town vibes)
- Forum (for the nicest shopping mall interior)
- Hala Targowa | Market Hall (for all the fruit, veggies & flowers)
- The beach (for obvious reasons :) )
Places we didn’t get to visit, but hopefully will in the future:
- Emalia (you can get hold of vintage goods of all kind here)
- Nie/mięsny (they have a whole vegan-friendly menu)
- Sztuka Wyboru | Art of Choosing (for art, design and book lovers)
