Hello everyone! How are you doing?
Not so long ago, my lovely friend Basia (check out her blog here, she’s amazing!) mentioned in the comments that she would love to read about my favourite morining rituals and it made me realise that I have never really written a proper article about it here on the blog, which, given the fact that mornings are one of my favourite parts of the day, is quite surprising. I guess I never thought that it would be interesting or special enough, but seeing the comment made my doubts disappear immediately and I was actually very excited to share my little rituals and truly appreciate how simple they are!
- waking up - most of the times I’m a typical example of an early bird, so I wake up around 7/8ish and absolutely love how quiet the household is at the time. I roll over, take my phone (bad habit, I know, I know) check the socials and the weather.
- stretching - a couple of weeks ago I developed a minor back injury so had to skip this step, but normally I like to take a couple of deep breaths and do some super simple yoga/stretching, seriously nothing crazy, just enough to get that flexibility back after hours of sleep.
- skincare - one of my favourite parts of the morning. Remember that washing your face after the night is super important, since there is still a lot of dust, dirt and others unwelcome guests on the surface! Not to mention that a proper wash makes you feel fresh and fully awake :) Read more about my favourite products here!
- nutrition - I start the day with a glass of water with lemon or apple cider vinegar and drink it on empty stomach while making breakfast to boost my metabolism. Sounds disgusting, I know, but it has so many health benefits (lowers blood sugar levels, improves digestion and heart health to name a few) and to be honest doesn’t taste that bad once you get used to it. Then I make coffee and breakfast (which is oatmeal 99% of the time, check the recipe here) et voilĂ !
- outfit - I really love my sweatpants-and-tee combo so if I’m having a day off it’s my go-to outfit, but otherwise you’ll find me running around in favourite sweaters and baggy jeans, with hair a bit messy, because I can’t be bothered sometimes and it’s fine :) I will always choose comfort.
- plans - I like to write down a little to-do list in notes on my phone to have an outlook of the day and see how busy it’s going to be. Again, nothing crazy, it's easier to remember things this way and take the budren off your shoulders.

And that’s it! Of course not every morning is the same, sometimes I’m way more lazy than that and wake up super late yet super tired, unmotivated and wanting to stay in bed forever, but the bits that I listed make me actually feel like I’m starting the day in a mindful and somewhat productive way.
