fragrance for the fall season

I know, I know... it's AUGUST. Summer is still at its finest (hello 35० C every. single. day), holidays are not over for another month (or two, in my case!) and to be honest there's probably no need to mention autumn this early, but to be completely honest with you, I can't stand the heat anymore so daydreaming about the sweet fall days and evenings is all I can count on these days.

I've always been a sucker for a good perfume. I love the whole process of choosing, smelling and searching for this perfect fragrance and I love how it's so elegant and elaborated. After all the cologne we wear reflects our personality,  strenghts and attitude, so of course picking one from an endless amount of bottles can (and should) take a moment. I remember when I carefully and consciously bought my first bottle of perfumes. It may sound like an exaggeration, but that day I felt as if a whole new era started for me and seriously, it was nothing short of enlightening.

Since that memorable day (wow) I've always had a bottle of perfumes on my nightstand or desk. A morning routine simply could not be completed without a spritz here and there to start a day off right.

Aaaand after this rather long intro, we finally got to the core of this post --the latest purchase that has become a strong favourite of mine in no time at all: Guys, let me introduce Jo Malone's English Pear & Freesia cologne.

I've heard a lot about the brand but only a couple of weeks ago did I decide to finally pick something from their range -- it was my birthday, so what better opportunity to spoil yourself a little bit and I was in desperate need of new fragrance. Long story short: new age, new me, new fragrance.

Among all their amazing colognes, this one stole my heart immediately -- it's very similar to the fragrance I told you about earlier, so it's has this strong nostalgic factor in it as well. Jo Malone describe it as

ー     " the essence of autumn. The sensuous freshness of just-ripe pears is wrapped in a bouquet of white freesias, and mellowed by amber, patchouli and woods. Luscious and golden."

And if that's not the most beautiful description for a fragrance, than I don't know what is.
